Sweet Birch (Betula lenta)

Sweet Birch, many times known as Black Birch, is a dense hardwood that has many uses, but is not usually available in large quantities. It is often overlooked due to its lack of availability in lumber form and its relatively plain appearance. Despite this, Sweet Birch is one of the hardest woods on the east coast and has a relatively stable demeanor.
