Red Oak Group (Quercus rubra, Quercus coccinea, Quercus velutina)
Red Oak is a dense hardwood with a pronounced grain pattern that has been used in almost every aspect of American culture. From floors to trim to cabinets, it is one of the most recognizable woods in many homes. It is an incredibly durable wood, however, it does not share the same decay-resistant properties as its White Oak cousin.
